Every Tuesday and Thursday morning from 9:00 to 11:00 from the last week in October to the third week in March between 40 and 60 curlers gather at 9:00 for friendly eight-end matches in the Sportsplex curling arena. Each game is followed by a social chat-time over hot chocolate, coffee and cookies.
There are no fixed teams. New teams are made each day by the draw master to allow members to get to know as many fellow curlers as possible over the season. There are no consequences on others should you be unable to attend on any day.
There is a drop-in fee of $4.00 per day, on a pay as you play basis that pays for ice rental and for the cost of refreshments during the season.
Each year the club holds two special group functions: a catered Christmas buffet luncheon in Hall F and a year-end annual general meeting and awards sit-down luncheon at Capone’s Restaurant.
Curling is fun, as there is a wide range of skills and ages participating shows you’re never too young or old to enjoy a friendly game of curling.
