With the exception of holidays and special events, a group of Contract Bridge enthusiasts assemble in the Heritage Room every Wednesday afternoon from 1:00 p.m. to about 3:30 p.m.
The number of participants varies from 40 to 50. This is a drop-in activity, and each player pays $2.25 per session. $1.25 pays for facility use and the other dollar goes for coffee and snacks and towards the cost of the luncheons held each year.
Contract Bridge requires you to have a partner but single people do join and every effort is made to join them up with another single person to form an ongoing partnership. Single spares are always needed because of prior commitments, illness and holidays.
If you are an ambitious and aspiring new bridge player who wants to learn all there is to know about good modern bidding systems or well-established defensive techniques or a more experienced bridge player whose considerable skills are now in decline, we recommend this club for you. Particularly, if you like to meet people and play bridge in a friendly and relaxed environment and enjoy an afternoon snack while doing so.
